International

Bonn is the German United Nations City and a centre of international dialogue on many key issues of the future. As well as several UN secretariats located in Bonn (Climate Secretariat, Secretariat of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification and UN Volunteers Programme), many other foreign institutions and non-governmental-organisations dealing with environmental and sustainable development issues established their headquarters or representative offices in Bonn. Apart from the UN and their satellite institutions other large private enterprises located in Bonn employ people from many foreign countries who call Bonn their home.

We support the international focus Bonn has and are able and pleased to communicate in English. We offer a full set of services to the international community in Bonn. This includes:

  • All types of transactions with regard to real estate situated in Germany and is not limited to objects located in Bonn itself. If you would like to inform yourself about the legal process of buying property in Germany before making an appointment with us, we recommend the website of The Council of the Notariats of the European Union as a resource.
  • Drafting and notarizing of deeds concerning the establishment of all types of legal entities in Germany as well as their registration with the Commercial Register or the drafting and notarizing of deeds regarding the transfer of shares within a German company from one shareholder to another.
  • A full range of notarial certification and notarization services for international clients, including consular legalisation of documents and the obtaining of an Apostille according to The Hague Convention. Examples of our services are the certification of a signature (verifying the identity of the person signing the document), the certification of the existence of a German company (including information on the companies trade name, corporate domicile and registered address), the certification as to who is entitled to represent the company (including a legal opinion on the scope of the power of representation).
